Six CEPRI’s scientific and Technological Innovations Won the Geneva International Invention Medals

During April 17 to 20, the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva was held in Geneva, Switzerland. The Chinese delegation brought 197 inventions to the exhibition and won a total of 70 gold and 97 silver medals. Among them, 6 projects of CEPRI won 5 gold medals (including 1 Special Commendation Gold Medal) and 1 silver medal.

Gold Medal (Special Commendation Medal) "Power Distribution  Internet of Things (PD-IoT) and Its Equipment”

The project promotes the digital transformation of traditional distribution network through the "Cloud, Network, Edge and Endpoint" technology framework,  and develops the micro-application management and control systems, local communication devices, smart distribution transformer terminals and low-voltage intelligent devices in station areas are developed, which are applied to the lean management business of low-voltage distribution networks in 27 provincial power companies, strongly supporting the active repair for low-voltage fault, power quality monitoring and management, and the coordination control of source-network-load-storage in the power distribution station area and other distribution business.

Gold Medal "Broadband Impedance Measurement Method and Device for Renewable Energy Power Units"

The project develops a broadband impedance measurement device for renewable energy power units, which enables the measurement of the positive and negative sequence impedance of 16MW renewable energy power units from 2Hz to 1000Hz under different working conditions, eliminates the coupling impact of the background grid and the measuring devices, and realizes the risk assessment of oscillation, cause location and development of suppression strategy, effectively solving the problem of broadband oscillation in renewable energy grid integration, so as to ensure the safe and stable development and operation of renewable energy bases in gobi, desert and far-reaching sea areas.

Gold Medal "Forecast Platform and Anti-galloping Devices for Conductor Galloping"

The project invents the transmission line galloping forecast platform, nonlinear stiffness anti-galloping devices and multiple-joints-damping anti-galloping devices based on big data analytics and mechanics, effectively improving the ability of the transmission line to resist icing galloping.

Gold Medal "Portable Remote Automatic Detection Device and Full-cycle Closed-loop Management Platform for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)"

The one-key automatic testing of charging facilities is realized, increasing the testing efficiency and reducing the cost, improving the on-site working method, realizing the remote intelligent status assessment of charging piles of more than 90% brands on the market, and thus improving the safety and reliability of charging equipment.

Gold Medal "Lightning Impulse Voltage Precision Measurement Technology and Device"

The project develops a 2400-kV lightning impulse voltage test and measurement device, invents a nano-electrode metalized capacitor film with high energy storage density is invented, greatly reducing the circuit size of the impulse voltage generation device. An equipotential shielded precision impulse voltage divider is proposed, to reduce the response time to 60ns and the peak measurement error from 3% to 0.5%. The device can be integrated into the vehicle, reducing the size and weight, and making it more adaptable to the environment.

Silver Medal "Mobile Micro-energy Stations and its Flexible System"

Aiming to meet the needs of emergency power supply and temporary power supply in multiple scenarios, an AC-DC hybrid energy support system is established, with electric energy conversion as the core and integrating multiple energy forms of photovoltaic-hydrogen-energy storage-diesel, so as to realize the flexible access, rapid recovery and networking operation of power supply, energy storage, and AC-DC load.
