CEPRI and EDF R&D Held a High-level Meeting for Cooperation

On January 16, China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) and Electricité de France Research and Development (EDF R&D) held a high-level meeting for cooperation. Yan Huafeng, Chairman (President) of CEPRI, and Bernard Salha, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and President of EDF R&D, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Wang Weisheng, Chief Engineer of CEPRI, and Carmen Munoz Dormoy, Senior Executive Vice President of EDF R&D, presented keynote reports respectively. Guo Qiang, Deputy General Manager (Executive Vice President) of CEPRI, and Jacques Sakreste, Senior Executive Vice President of EDF R&D, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of respective sides.

Yan Huafeng extended warmly welcome to Bernard Salha and his delegation. He stated that this meeting for cooperation is a further implementation of the renewed cooperation agreement between EDF Group and State Grid Corporation of China. Over the past decade, CEPRI and EDF R&D, adhering to the principle of "complementary advantages and win-win cooperation," have promotedthe development of scientific research collaboration from scratch and achievedfruitful results. The cooperation between the two sides has a solid foundation, huge future space, and broad development prospects. It is expected that the cooperation will reach a new height and create more value. Going forward, he hopes that both sides willactivelyexpandthecooperation in areas such as distribution networks and distributed power generation, carbon neutrality and integrated energy utilization, strengthen joint research and development innovation, international standard development, international talent exchanges and cultivation, and cooperation in addressing climate change and energy transformation. Through collaboration, both sides can learn from each other, share development opportunities, and create a better future together.

Salha expressed gratitude for CEPRI's warm reception. He reviewed the ten-year cooperation between the two sides and highly praised the collaborative achievements in international joint research and development, international standards, and laboratory sharing. He said that over the past decade of cooperation, both sides have maintained mutual respect, cooperation, and win-win relationships, establishing a reliable trust and a profound friendship. Looking ahead, he hopes for deeper "old friends" relations, adhering to the goal of win-win cooperation, promoting pragmatic cooperation in research and development innovation, and making joint contributions to global energy transformation.

Prior to the meeting, Salha and his delegation visited the Advanced Power Distribution Technology Laboratory and the State Grid Center of Metrology. During the meeting, Yan Huafeng presented a commemorative plaque marking the tenth anniversary of cooperation between the two sides.
