High-voltage Switch Equipment Operation Test Laboratory
High-voltage Switch Equipment Operation Test Laboratory is located in Qinghe Campus of China Electric Power Research Institute. Founded in 1975 and approved as one of the second "Laboratories of State Grid Corporation of China" in 2010, the Laboratory is in the charge of State Grid Corporation of China and is operated and managed by High Voltage Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.
To meet the technical demand for ensuring long-term stable operation of high-voltage switch equipment, the Laboratory mainly performs research on high-voltage switch equipment operation and test technology, mechanical and electrical properties of high-voltage switch equipment, and high-voltage switch technical standard.
It is equipped with one 220kV special test circuit, complete equipment for 5000A high current temperature rise test, and domestically advanced multi-channel measurement and control system. Presently the Laboratory can conduct type test, sampling test and research test on 126kV/40kA (and below) high-voltage switch equipment and equipment using DC power supply in power system, and can carry out SF6 analytical equipment calibration work. It has acquired CMA certificate, CNAS certificate and CQC certificate. The testing objects include 21 kinds of equipment, such as AC high-voltage circuit breaker, high-voltage load switch, high-voltage switch cabinet, AC high-voltage isolation switch and grounding switch, high-voltage circuit recloser, high-voltage sectionalizer, AC high-voltage drop type fuse, prefabricated substation (box-type substation), microcomputer-type anti-misoperation device, storage battery, DC power cabinet, DC charging machine, integrated uninterrupted power supply, rectifier inverter device and DC power monitoring device. Moreover, the Laboratory has become able to perform test on high current arc, lightning arrester pressure release, insulator power frequency current, arc striking performance of insulated wires and anti-lightening hardware fittings, etc.
