Laboratory on Power Demand Side Management and Power Consumption Technology
Laboratory on Power Demand Side Management and Power Consumption Technology is located in Changping Campus of China Electric Power Research Institute. Approved as a "Laboratory of State Grid Corporation of China" in 2016, the Laboratory is in the charge of State Grid Corporation of China and is operated and managed by Power Consumption and Energy Efficiency Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.
Targeting at tackling key problems facing power demand side management and intelligent power consumption in the process of power grid intellectualization, the Laboratory performs research on key technology for power demand side management and intelligent power consumption, including research on technology for participation of user side typical power consumption system in grid interaction, and research on power grid load operation strategy analysis and optimization technology, etc. The research achievements have been applied extensively.
The Laboratory can carry out verification test on user side distributed power grid strategy, simulation test on central air-conditioning optimal operation strategy, verification of actual operation effect of electric thermal storage boiler, and simulation verification of optimized harmonious operation of multiple energy sources and multiple loads. The distributed power simulation area has been integrated with remote-controllable 5kW user side wind power grid simulation system and photovoltaic simulation system, etc. It has the ability of power generation, grid connection and energy storage of simulated user side distributed power supply, etc. The host parameters of central air-conditioning physical simulation system and regenerative electric boiler simulation system allow for setup and acceptance of monitoring by control and management software. The simulation management platform for demand side management and intelligent power utilization can realize simulation of such strategies as interconnection of multiple energy sources, optimized harmonious operation of multiple energy sources and multiple loads, and user side efficiency management and demand response, etc. It can communicate with multiple kinds of intelligent household appliance to realize remote monitoring and control.
