Electric Power Dispatching Automation Laboratory

Electric Power Dispatching Automation Laboratoryis located in Qinghe Campus of China Electric Power Research Institute. Approved as a "Laboratory of State Grid Corporation of China" in 2016, the Laboratory is in the charge of State Grid Corporation of China and is operated and managed by Power Automation Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.

The Laboratory has set 3 major research directions: research on electric power dispatching automation technology, research on substation and power plant automation technology, and inspection and test on power grid automation system and equipment. Presently it mainly engages in scientific research on electric power dispatching automation technology, network access inspection of power grid scheduling control system of State Grid Corporation of China, experimental verification of substation and power plant automation system, and network access inspection of intelligent substation system and equipment, etc.

The Laboratory can simultaneously conduct software test on over 10 sets of dispatching control systems, software white-box test on over 5 sets of automatic dispatching control systems and experimental verification of functions and performance of substation integrated monitoring and control systems, simulation test on over 3 sets of substation integrated monitoring and control systems, 0.2 AC sampling accuracy experimental verification, electromagnetic compatibility experimental verification, environmental influence experimental verification, power protocols experimental verification, and experimental verification of over 5 sets of substation automation systems and equipment. It can provide experimental and simulation technology support for scientific research, technical transformation as well as system and equipment test on electric power scheduling automation.

The Laboratory is equipped with advanced apparatus and equipment, such as server, OMICRON bartender tester, Spirent network tester, software tester and other mainstream laboratory apparatus and equipment. Meanwhile, it is fitted with intelligent dispatching control system software and other electric power dispatching automation supporting software. Furthermore, the Laboratory has advanced experiment platforms, including experiment and verification platform for intelligent power grid dispatching control system, substation simulation platform, and experimental verification platform for substation and power plant automation system and equipment, etc. In the future, the Laboratory will establish itself as an experimental verification base, research and development base and system detection base in the field of electric power scheduling automation, so as to provide substantial technical support for the development of Chinese electric power dispatching automation.
