High-voltage Electrical Equipment Operation Performance Evaluation Laboratory
High-voltage Electrical Equipment Operation Performance Evaluation Laboratory is located in Wuhan Campus of China Electric Power Research Institute. Approved as one of the first "Laboratories of State Grid Corporation of China" in 2007, the Laboratory is in the charge of State Grid Corporation of China and is operated and managed by High Voltage Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.
According to the demand for safe and stable operation of power grid, the Laboratory commits itself to the research on detection technology and apparatus for power transmission and transformation equipment as well as research on monitoring and diagnosis technology for operating state of power transmission and transformation equipment. It focuses on tackling key technological problems and formulating relevant standards in the field of key performance testing technology for power transmission and transformation equipment, key testing device of power transmission and transformation equipment, state parameter detection method and condition assessment technology for power transmission and transformation equipment, primary equipment intelligent application evaluation, and application performance evaluation on parts and materials of power transmission and transformation equipment, etc. Meanwhile, it cultivates first-rate talents in testing technology for power transmission and transformation equipment and state evaluation technology, so as to ensure reliable operation of high-voltage electrical equipment in power grid.
The Laboratory is equipped with EHV/UHV insulation performance test system, EHV/UHV transformer error testing system, 1000kV (and below) power transmission and transformation equipment field test system, power transmission and transformation equipment charged evaluation platform, key parameters sampling system for power transmission and transformation equipment, online monitoring device performance testing platform for power transmission and transformation equipment, electronic transformer performance test platform and other large-scale research and experiment platforms. It can conduct test and assessment on operation performance of various electrical equipment, including power-frequency voltage-withstand test, switching impulse test, lightning impulse test and partial discharge test on 1000kV (and below) power transmission and transformation equipment, on-site accuracy test on 1000kV (and below) voltage transformer and current transformer laboratory, long-term charged full-performance assessment on UHV power transmission and transformation equipment, on-site measurement of key parameters of 110kV-750kV single-phase and three-phase power transformers with various capacities, electric transformers and other power transmission and transformation equipment, detection of measurement accuracy, access safety, electrical performance and long-term operation stability, and transient performance, harmonic characteristics, on-site verification test and stability and reliability test of electronic current transformer, etc.
