Joint Laboratory on Advanced Power Distribution Automation and Optimized Control of Distribution Network
Joint Laboratory on Advanced Power Distribution Automation and Optimized Control of Distribution Network was approved as a laboratory of State Grid Corporation of China in 2016. Initiated by China Electric Power Research Institute, it was jointly constructed by State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company and State Grid Beijing Electric Power Corp. The Laboratory affiliated to China Electric Power Research Institute is located in Qinghe Campus of the Institute. It is operated and managed by Power Distribution Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.
Facing the developmental trend of widespread access and flexible interaction of distributed generation as well as AC-DC hybrid power distribution network, the Laboratory specializes in the research on simulation, detection and operation supervision technology for advanced power distribution automation system and the research on distribution information interoperability technology and the planning and operational control technology for AC/DC hybrid power distribution and consumption on the basis of constructing an experimental research platform for advanced distribution automation and AC-DC hybrid power distribution and consumption, so as to attain the goal of improving the reliability, controllability, energy saving and economical operation of new-type power distribution network.
The Laboratory is the only master station of distribution automation and the agency engaging in distribution terminal access detection, information interactive bus test and on-site test on distribution automation system as designated by State Grid Corporation of China. With an experimental area of 3000 square meters, the Laboratory is equipped with over 220 sets of scientific research and detection equipment. It is also fitted with distribution automation terminal test system, distribution circuit fault indicator test system, distribution automation master station test system, distribution automation bus and interoperability test system, distribution automation operation regulation system, distribution system equipment comprehensive performance test system, distributed power supply and AC/DC hybrid micro-grid test system and other self-developed test systems as well as a complete set of electromagnetic compatibility devices, full-automatic environment test devices and mechanical performance test devices, etc.
