Information System Security Laboratory

Information System Security Laboratory is located in Qinghe Campus of China Electric Power Research Institute. Approved as a key laboratory of State Grid Corporation of China in 2010, the Laboratory is in the charge of State Grid Corporation of China and is operated and managed by Information and Communication Department under China Electric Power Research Institute.

The Laboratory's major research directions include: research on information system security defense and emergency response technology, research on information security assessment and monitoring technology, and research on information security strategy, intelligence and standard. Targeting at the research directions, the Laboratory focuses on experimental research on policy, standard and system for power information system security technology, information system security assessment technology, information system security defense technology and information security simulation experiment, etc.

It has established large-scale information system simulation test environment that covers major applications in electric power industry and all linkages of smart grid, ranging from generation to transmission, transformation, distribution, utilization and disptaching. Meanwhile, the Laboratory has established high-grade information system security evaluation and verification environment and domestically advanced information security test bed. It has the ability to discover deeply hidden information security hazards and detect bugs, advanced detection and evaluation means, and the ability to make scientific research innovation and provide technical service.  After many years of accumulation and development, the Laboratory has established itself as "scientific research center, evaluation & certification center, technical service center, and exchange & training center" in the field of information security in electric power industry.
