About Us
In order to promote the effective development of certification business, improve the market competence of testing and certification business, and boost the market share of testing business in the new energy field, China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPPI) invested RMB 5 million to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary -- China Power CEPRI Certification Center (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in September 2014, which was renamed as China Power CEPRI Inspection and Certification (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Power CEPRI”). China Power CEPRI is engaged in product and service certification in new energy field; electrical equipment and system testing in new energy field; technical development, standard formulation and personnel training in new energy and related fields; product quality certification in electric power industry.
On January 27, 2015, China Power CEPRI obtained the Business License, with the term of operation for 30 years.
On March 16, 2015, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) approved China Power CEPRI for carrying out service certification business, with the certification fields including: production services on the basis of charges or contracts, specifically: new energy power generation and integration service certification.
In November 2015, China Power CEPRI was awarded the double qualifications for being a CMA and CNAS testing laboratory, with the testing capability covering wind turbine and photovoltaic power generation units. The administrative license for product certification was granted at the end of 2015, allowing China Power CEPRI to conduct certification of wind turbine units and photovoltaic products. In September 2016, China Power CEPRI applied for expanding the range of its certification business, with the certification field covering “Certification of General Industrial Products 14 – Power Distribution and Control Equipment & Its Parts; insulated wires and cables; optical cable”, intending to carry out product certification in information communication and relay protection fields.
Organizational Structure
In accordance with the requirements for certification bodies and the provisions of Administrative Measures for Certification Bodies, to guarantee a scientific, standardized and effective certification process, China Power CEPRI sets up the Evaluation Committee, Technical Committee, Comprehensive Department, Accreditation Department, Certification Department and Technology Department. China Power CEPRI has the Legal Representative, 1 Executive Director, 1 Supervisor, 1 General Manager and 1 Deputy General Manager.

Certification Business
New energy grid integration service certification: Implement certification on grid integration characteristics of new energy power stations. Applicable to wind farms connected to power systems by transmission lines with voltage level at and above 110(66)kV; photovoltaic power stations integrated with public grid by 35kV+ lines and connected to public grid by 10kV lines.
Voluntary product certification: Implement certification on grid integration characteristics of wind turbine units and PV grid-connected inverter products; implement certification on routers, network switchboards and passive optical network equipment; certification on software products of power information system; certification on relay protection products, which are applicable to 220KV+ bus-bar protection, transformer protection, line protection, circuit breaker protection, reactor / capacitor protection and other power equipment protection, etc.
